Goderdzi Ski Resort is perched in the stunning highlands of Adjara on the Goderdzi Pass. Situated at an altitude of 2,027 meters above sea level and just 109 km from Batumi, it is a sanctuary for those seeking pristine nature and high-altitude thrills.
Thanks to its proximity to the Black Sea, Goderdzi is famous for its abundant precipitation, ensuring a thick blanket of powder that makes it one of Georgia's most attractive winter destinations.
The first snow typically arrives in November, kicking off a season that stretches from December to April. For the best experience, plan your visit for January or February, when the snow quality is at its absolute peak.
Goderdzi is a paradise for "freeriders"—the snow-covered, untracked slopes are a magnet for those who love carving through fresh powder away from the crowds.
Goderdzi isn't just for skiers; it’s a four-season destination. During the summer, the landscape transforms into a lush playground offering:
Active Trails: Hiking through alpine meadows and dense forests, horseback riding, and mountain cycling.
Natural Wonders: Visiting the Goderdzi Fossil Forest, a world-class paleontological site.
Scenic Landmarks: Exploring the crystal-clear Green Lake or hiking to the 10th-century Khikhani Castle.
Wellness: Tasting local medicinal mineral waters and visiting the nearby, popular Beshumi resort.
The resort features a modern lift system designed to get you to the peaks efficiently:
Lifts: The resort operates 8-seater Gondolas and 6-seater Bubble-type chairlifts, alongside a "Borano" (T-bar) and a moving carpet for beginners.
Altitudes: The base station starts at 1,724m, ascending to a maximum peak of 2,364m.
The Slopes: With a total length of 8 km, the longest continuous descent is 4.5 km. The terrain offers a mix of medium and difficult runs, while beginners can practice on a dedicated 150-meter track.
Operating Hours:
Weekdays: 10:00 – 16:00
Weekends: 10:00 – 17:00
Getting to Goderdzi is an adventure in itself. Because the 30 km stretch of road from the center of Khulo to the resort is unpaved, a 4x4 (off-road) vehicle is highly recommended.
How to reach the resort from Batumi:
Municipal Transport: During winter, there is no direct public bus to the resort. You can take a bus from Batumi to the village of Danisparauli (5 km from the resort).
The Final Stretch: From Danisparauli, you can rent a local off-road vehicle to take you the rest of the way.
Cost: The one-way fare typically ranges between 25–30 GEL.
