Makhuntseti Bridge dates back to the 12th century. The bridge was built on a volcanic stone quarries. Uneven stones and lime mortar are inserted between the flat stones of the shore arc on both sides of the bridge. The side stones are arranged vertically on top of each other and run along both sides of the bridge along the entire length. The bridge does not have a pier. The length from pier to pier is 19.5 m. Width 2.5 m. The height of the pier above the water level is 5.6 m. Over the centuries, in order to strengthen and repair the bridge, one and sometimes two rows of stone piles have been added to its surface, which are completely different from the original in size, shape and nature of the pile. Makhuntseti Bridge can be considered one of the busiest and most visited bridges in terms of tourism.
